The reviewer who gave Cardinals Folly one star is clearly having a laugh. This is an absolutely first-rate guest house - everything is spotlessly clean and Yvonne could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely comfortable and very tastefully furnished, with really soft bed linen and lovely towels. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone travelling in the area.
We stayed for 3 nights at the Cardinals Folly and found it was tastefully decorated and immaculate throughout. Yvonne and Steve were wonderful hosts and very welcoming. The choice of breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely return on our next visit to Kinghorn.

Lovely guesthouse in a nice and quiet fishing village with beautiful surrounding walks and beaches. Really comfortable and spacious room with enjoyable sea view , very nice host and delicious home cooked breakfast. Spotless clean. Highly recommended!
Lovely location beautiful little church Hotel located near a lovely little sea-side village. Rooms are absolutely perfect, clean, and the little things like hot chocolate and crisps biscuits, tea, and coffee and the best Scottish breakfast I've had with also a continental breakfast as well. The lady who owns this lovely house is very nice and welcoming to all . 10/10
This was our second visit and was as enjoyable as our first. Yvonne and Steve are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they always go the extra mile. Breakfasts are generous and sumptious, something for everybody. They came up with some excellent suggestions for dining out which we made use of. We will be returning!
Honestly this place is a real gem.... so welcoming, clean, great hosts and a fantastic breakfast, you will be a fool not to stay here !
Enjoyed a fantastic stay at Cardinals Folly - right from the outset from the warm, friendly welcome by hosts Yvonne and Steven, who can't do enough for you. This lovely converted church has been renovated to a very high standard and we really couldn't fault it. I can't understand the one-star review which spoke about spider's webs, as we found the whole place to be spotlessly clean. The full Scottish breakfast was superb, with clearly high quality ingredients. I would recommend Cardinals Folly to anyone visiting the East Neuk of Fife.
